Jim has been investing in and advising energy and environmental technology companies for nearly 20 years. He has participated in numerous transactions, including IPOs, Follow-on Offerings, PIPEs, M&A, Bridge Debt, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Joint Venture Formation.

Prior to joining HamiltonClark he was:

  • Partner and co-founder of Earthrise Capital Fund, a cleantech venture fund based in New York
  • Founder and Principal of Vortex Energy, a clean energy consulting firm based in New York
  • Advisor to the City of Baltimore and to the Government of Japan on clean energy project assessment
  • Managing Director at BOVARO Partners, an energy-focused investment bank based in New York and Baltimore
  • Equity Research Analyst in clean energy finance at Bank of America Securities, based in New York, where he covered the energy technology industry, and won recognition from Institutional Investor and StarMine for excellence in research
